One of the things I have noticed in my quiet time with the Lord is that by focusing simply upon entering His presence from the very beginning of our time together – He very often speaks to me about those problems or difficulties without me bringing them up. Brannon, yes I wrote it, but I’ve heard Bill Johnson and Bob Hamp say very similar things 1,000 times in slightly different terms. This post is essentially unpacking the Bill Johnson statment as cited.

I have definitely found it to be a waste of time to focus more on my problems in prayer than on God’s presence and revelation….you are right….we just dig ourselves into the problem deeper rather than hearing God whisper His direction. Thanks, Alan…really good stuff.
