John 1:1-3
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.NKJV

Heb 1:3-43 who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, NKJV

Rev 4:11
11 “You are worthy, our Lord and God,to receive glory and honor and power,for you created all things,and by your will they were createdand have their being.” NIV

Col 1:16-1816 For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. 17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. NIV

In each of the above passages I have emphasized one of two ideas or in some cases both. 1) God has created all things by the Word. 2) God sustains all things by the Word.

It occurs to me that if all things are created by and sustained by God’s Word, then all created existence is supernatural. All things are, in both their origin and existence, miraculous. Creation is miraculous in that it exists. Creation is miraculous in that it continues to exist.

In the following passages I see that God also heals by his word. This isn’t qualitatively different than God’s supernatural power expressed through God’s originating and sustaining of creation.

Ps 107:2020 He sent His word and healed them,And delivered them from their destructions. NKJV

Matt 8:8
8 The centurion answered and said, “Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed.NKJV
